2022 International Scientific Symposium on the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders

International Scientific Symposium on the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders
September 14-18, 2022
Rome, Italy

The Ehlers-Danlos Society is delighted to announce the dates for the International Scientific Symposium on the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders. This will be a hybrid event with options to join in person or virtually. Virtual registration options will be released in 2022.

The International Scientific Symposium on the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) is a state-of-the-art meeting in which new research on clinical advances and the molecular and pathogenic mechanisms underlying EDS and related syndromes will be discussed. The International Consortium on Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes and Related disorders is bringing together leading experts, clinicians, and scientists in the field of the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and hypermobility spectrum disorders for a high quality, scientific program with a focus on Translational Medicine in EDS and HSD – from Basic Science to Community.

We strongly encourage clinicians and researchers with an interest in the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes to attend this meeting – the multidisciplinary nature of the conference provides an opportunity to talk to specialists from many different fields including basic scientists, geneticists, internists, orthopedic and vascular surgeons, dentists, pediatricians, physiotherapists, genetic counselors, nurses, and others working with the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and hypermobility spectrum disorders.

September 14-17 is suitable for Healthcare Professionals. September 18 is suitable for members of the EDS and HSD community, their families, and caregivers. Healthcare Professionals who wish to learn from a lay perspective are also encouraged to join us for Community Day.

Highlights will include:

  • An exciting program of invited speakers and lectures featuring some of the world’s leading experts in the field
  • An exhibition area and poster sessions
  • Workshops
  • Gala dinner

This event has been approved for up to 20.5 CME/CEU/CE Credits, which will be available for healthcare professionals to claim for sessions that are viewed LIVE.
