EDS ECHO

‘All Teach, All Learn’

The EDS ECHO Allied Health Professionals program is a free program for Allied Health Professionals from all over the world, run from three hubs in North-America, Australia, and the UK and Europe.

This program is suitable for Physical Therapists, Podiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dieticians, and Nutritionists.

Clinical experts run a program via the Zoom teleconferencing platform. Each session is 1hr 30 minutes in length.

Participants are able to share their cases and questions in the sessions and will be guided to further educational materials and support.

There are three EDS ECHO Allied Health Professionals programs:

The program consists of six case-based interactive modules delivered virtually via the zoom platform. We will use a regional and system approach to cover the assessment and management of the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and hypermobility spectrum disorders and associated symptoms and conditions across the life span.

The six modules include the  following subjects:

  • Introduction to Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders and Ehlers Danlos Syndromes
  • Comorbidities in HSD and EDS
  • Head and neck injury and dysfunction in HSD and EDS
  • Upper quadrant injury and dysfunction in HSD and EDS
  • Lower quadrant injury and dysfunction in HSD and EDS
  • HSD and EDS in Paediatrics

Participants who are accepted into the program are asked to attend as much of the program as possible to get the most out of their place.

All participants are encouraged to share their cases and questions in the sessions and are guided to further educational material and support. CME/CEU/CE credits or a certificate of attendance are available to healthcare professionals at no charge. Credits are awarded at 1 per 60 minutes of live session activity.
