Celebrating the Warrensburg Citizens and business of the year

Spirited socializing and heartfelt accolades characterized a May 25 ceremony as two local citizens and one area enterprise were recognized by the Warrenburg Chamber of Commerce for their contributions to community life.

Bridgette Connelly-Howe and Peggy Knowles were both honored as the Chamber’s “Citizen of the Year” — and Cronin’s Golf Resort was lauded as “Business of the Year.” The recognition banquet was held at The Grist Mill Restaurant — and 68 people attended, a record number in recent history for the annual gala.

Chamber Board President Candice Healy said Connelly-Howe, Knowles, and the Cronins were all quite deserving of the honor.

“These awards are to recognize continuing commitment to improving the community of Warrensburg,” she said, noting that many local businesses and individuals care about the town and “give back” to it.
