The Ehlers-Danlos Society Centers and Networks of Excellence – About our Program

Program mission

The Ehlers-Danlos Society is committed to increasing the availability of clinical services for people living with EDS and HSD, decreasing the diagnostic odyssey, and standardizing communication and care for those impacted by EDS and HSD.

Toward that end, our aim is to develop a network of Excellence for EDS and HSD around the globe. This will be a first step toward the goal of developing a network of Centers that will assist thousands of people worldwide, and alleviate their pain and symptoms.

About our designation

Each center or network must meet specific criteria and undergo a thorough review before receiving the Centers & Networks of Excellence designation. Our criteria are designed to be inclusive and promote equitable care around the world. They do not replace or replicate any similar programs run by regional, national, or governmental bodies.

Current Centers & Networks of Excellence

The Ehlers-Danlos Society is delighted to announce our first cohort of the Centers & Networks of Excellence Program. This cohort of 18 Centers and Networks represents a wealth of expertise across many areas of care delivery. Together, they make a crucial step towards achieving our mission of increasing the availability of clinical services, decreasing the diagnostic odyssey, and standardizing communication and care for those impacted by EDS and HSD.
