About these Clinics/Practices
I am a Physical Therapist Assistant in the DFW metro. I have 10 years combined experience within the physical therapy field as a rehab tech, and as a patient. However, I began my journey as a PTA at 19 years old in 2020. My experience ranges from Neuro, Pediatrics, SNF, acute care, and varying outpatient atmospheres.
I currently work primarily in sports medicine, and orthopedics within the Achieve Physical Therapy clinics. I am currently specialized in treating Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome /JHSD & co-morbid conditions involving the autonomic nervous system. I hope to become an asset and be a light to those I share my disease spectrum with.
I am an active participant in the ECHO program through the Ehlers-Danlos Society as a clinician, and an advocate. I am eager to learn more, and stay up to date on the latest evidence based research for EDS & JHSD. I am currently seeing EDS/JHSD patients in the clinic as a PTA and advocacy guide at this time.
I was led to physical therapy after ongoing rehab for 5 reconstructive ankle surgeries as a teenager. PT was the only thing that made me feel better pre EDS diagnosis. My PTA is who inspired me to pursue what I am now pleased to call my career. I began active pursuit of my career as a PTA while I was in my senior year of high school in 2018. I became an ACSM-CPT my first year of college, and worked as a trainer throughout the PTA Program, and the licensure process.
I am the daughter of a reiki master, and have been infatuated by energy work since I was a child. Craniosacral Therapy has held my attention since I was a teenager. Throughout my short time as a therapist I have had the opportunity to learn craniosacral in multiple setting across 3 different states from a varying level of therapist. Integrative and holistic Manual Therapy is my strong suit and I look forward to advancing this skill through future certification with Upledger Institute, and the Barrall Institute.
I am grounded in Integrative Dry Needling. As a Needler my primary strengths have been in needling for Autonomic Dysfunction. I utilize vagus nerve, auricular, and sympathetic ganglia techniques within the EDS/JHSD, and Dysautonomia patient population. I also have extensive experience in needling for drop foot and LE paresthesias.
My Areas of expertise include:
- Integrative Dry Needling
- Craniosacral Therapy
- Mulligan Mobilization with Movement
- Brain Injury Rehab
- Vestibular/Concussion Rehab
- Conditions involving the Autonomic Nervous System
- Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes
