About these Clinics/Practices

From a Chiropractic stand point, I use gentle techniques that do not incorporate high velocity low amplitude adjusting, as this can cause damage to someone with EDS. This includes using a Leander flexion-distraction table that incorporates an up and down motion starting from the waist down. This allows me to go up and down the spine using the vertebrae as levers that allow a gentle stretch in the area of focus. In addition to the Leander table, I use an Activator, which is an instrument assisted adjusting technique. This device that allows me to deliver a small impulse to an area of focus, such as with the vertebrae in the spine or a tight muscle, with the goal of restoring motion to that area.
From a Functional Medicine perspective, I treat by looking for the root cause of conditions. This includes reviewing the amount of stress, followed by organs and organ systems they are having problems with. Upon working with the patient, I research what nutritional support they may need by reviewing lab work, reading peer reviewed articles, and delving into basic anatomy and physiology. The treatment includes a personalized diet plan with supplements that are specific to each patient.
