About these Clinics/Practices

Cathy Walker works with hypermobile people to decrease pain, improve energy, and feel stronger in their bodies. Being hypermobile herself, she understands the degree to which it effects every aspect of your life. She believes that you don’t have to feel fragile in a hypermobile body, but rather can feel strong and resilient.

Cathy has additional training in working with people diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder through the EDS ECHO program. She also has additional training in dance physiotherapy and rehabilitation. She incorporates other training certifications she has where appropriate such as:

  • Active Release Techniques
  • Neurokinetic Therapy
  • Acupuncture from Acupuncture Canada
  • Rost Therapy for Pelvic Girdle Pain Syndrome
  • Diaphragm/Pelvic Floor Piston for Adult Populations by Julie Wiebe
  • Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist by Core Exercise Solutions Ltd

Appointments with Cathy are one-on-one and incorporate education or coaching around lifestyle modifications to manage your hypermobility symptoms. You will also receive a home based exercise program including an exercise app to follow outside of the clinic, massage techniques when appropriate, and acupuncture when appropriate. You can visit in-person for an appointment in Port Moody. Alternatively, you can do virtual appointments from anywhere in British Columbia, Canada.

Please note that Cathy is unable to provide a diagnosis for Ehlers Danlos, however you do not need to have a confirmed diagnosis to start working on symptoms related to suspected hypermobility. If you have any questions related to this, feel free to reach out by email.
