What do we offer?

Spriggs Nutrition specialises in providing tailored nutritional support for those managing long term and/or multiple health conditions, specialising in hEDS, HSD along with migraines or chronic headaches. Full consultations include thorough assessment and appropriate testing to indicate nutritional status, evidence-based and clinically informed yet realistic guidance to help you reach your health goals. Care is often as part of collaborative or multidisciplinary team, with your primary care physicians or wider health care teams.

How can I access you?

We are a private practice. We offer a both in person consultations (Berkshire, UK)  or remote/video consultations using secure platforms. A complimentary ‘can we help’ call is offered to all individuals, ahead of progressing to a full consultation, to ensure we are in a position to help or if we feel better for you, signpost to a more appropriate practitioner.

Do you understand EDS/HSD?  

We work primarily in supporting those with hEDS or HSD, or those who are in the process of being diagnosed who are seeking nutritional support. Our approach, focuses on exploring and understanding your nutritional needs to support associated symptoms & conditions of EDS/HSD – not simply write a ‘meal plan’. We also understand additional considerations such socioeconomic factors and how we collect & provide information for those with processing challenges, we’ve adapted our practice to reflect this, as we learn from you & other experts.

Helen keeps up to date with new research, information and care standards through:

• Research, such as “Nutritional interventions for symptom management in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome: An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis of patients lived experience” for her MSc in Advanced Nutrition (Research & Practice).
• Co-creating & co-delivering content for the inaugural EDS Society ECHO Nutrition program for 100+ healthcare professionals, leading Session 1 discussing EDS/HSD, Research, Nutrition Clinical Assessment & more!
• Presenting at EDS Society conferences such as the 2023 Global Learning Conference in Dublin – speaking on EDS/HSD, Migraines & Nutrition.
• Contributing & panel member at The International Scientific Symposium 2022 in Rome.
• Completing numerous EDS Society ECHO programs across topics.
• Attending educational opportunities in the field of EDS/HSD inc ECHO Summits, EDS Society events & conferences as part of on-going Continuing Professional Development.
• Volunteering as a member of the Diet & Nutrition Working Group for the International Consortium on Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes & Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders.
• Being an educator on EDS/HSD to both patient and practitioners.
