Sarah Cliff

Occupational Therapist

About these Clinics/Practices

Sarah’s journey into occupational therapy was sparked through personal experiences, witnessing a family member navigate complex health concerns. This personal journey inspired an empathetic understanding of chronic illness and multi-system conditions that led her to her studies in Occupational Therapy and has shaped the practitioner she is today.

Early in her practice, Sarah developed a passionate interest in how our everyday environments – physical and psychological – shape our health and wellbeing, which is particularly relevant for individuals managing hypermobility-related conditions. Her career since has spanned sectors, from workplace rehabilitation, life insurance, veterans care, NDIS and complex chronic care, giving her valuable experience in supporting people with multifaceted health needs.

In her practice, Sarah brings not just her knowledge, but her empathy and intuition. She has a particular affinity for complex cases – those individuals grappling with intricate multi-system conditions, chronic pain, and ongoing health challenges. For Sarah, these aren’t just medical puzzles to solve, but opportunities to truly impact someone’s quality of life through comprehensive occupational therapy support.

Her passion for her field extends beyond individual practice. As a National Best Practice Lead at the Altius Group, Sarah has mentored and inspired teams of allied health professionals, sharing her expertise and vision for holistic wellbeing care that addresses the varied needs of complex chronic conditions.

Her approach is firmly grounded in evidence-based practices, but it’s her ability to tailor these practices to each individual that sets her apart. Whether it’s conducting an ergonomic assessment to support joint protection, designing an activity modification program, or providing capacity building therapy, Sarah’s focus is always on the unique needs and goals of the person in front of her.

In 2017, Sarah was honoured with the ARPA Award of Excellence for Outstanding Return to Work Achievement in a Psychological Claim. Today, she is actively engaged in planning international conferences for the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association.

Whether you’re managing hypermobility-related challenges or dealing with complex chronic health issues, Sarah is available to support you not just in treating symptoms, but in empowering you to achieve lasting health and wellness in all aspects of your life through targeted occupational therapy interventions.
