Disabled Newmarket woman ‘reduced to tears’ on first lone visit to town centre

A disabled woman from Newmarket was reduced to tears and forced to apologise to a shopper who hassled her for causing a delay.

Lisa Hawkins, 41, was in a card shop with her daughter on Friday when she was shoved and humiliated by a customer standing behind her in the queue.

It was the first time Lisa had ventured into town without another adult to help since November last year.
