EDS ECHO Clinicians Large Border

The EDS ECHO Clinicians program is a free program for healthcare professionals worldwide, across all disciplines who want to improve their ability to care for people with EDS, HSD, and associated symptoms and conditions.

The programs consist of expert presentations and case-based interactive sessions delivered virtually via the Zoom platform. They are led by Dr. Clair Francomano (North America program) and Dr. Alan Hakim (UK program)

General Structure

Week 1 – Introduction, and making a diagnosis. Part 1 – hEDS and HSD
Week 2 – EDS diagnosis. Part 2 – Rare types
Week 3 – Musculoskeletal complications and pain
Week 4 – Neurological complications
Week 5 – Maxillofacial / ENT, Upper Gastrointestinal concerns
Week 6 – Lower GI, inflammation and mast cell issues
Week 7 – Cardiovascular complications and Autonomic dysfunction
Week 8 – Urogynaecology, pelvic floor
Week 9 – Orthopedic Medicine
Week 10 – Participant topics

Participants who are accepted into the program are asked to attend as much of the program as possible to get the most out of their place, and to submit at least one case study during the program.

All participants are encouraged to share their cases and questions in the sessions and are guided to further educational material and support. CME/CEU/CE credits or a certificate of attendance are available to healthcare professionals at no charge. Credits are awarded at 1 per 60 minutes of live session activity.
