
Emily Rich, M.O.T., OTR/L
Dr. Emily Rich is an occupational therapist who serves adolescents and adults with autonomic dysfunction and connective tissue disorders in a medical outpatient setting in Tucson, Arizona. She earned a Ph.D. in occupational therapy at Texas Woman’s University, where she previously received a Master of Occupational Therapy. Dr. Rich has specialized in treating women with complex chronic illnesses such as Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and forms of dysautonomia such as postural orthostatic tachycardia disorder (POTS) for over 7 years. Emily’s research interests include rehabilitation interventions and, most specifically, designing and testing curricula for optimizing self-management of these underserved populations. When she isn’t in the clinic or conducting research, Emily enjoys mentoring and teaching clinicians, interacting with patient and therapy communities on her popular Instagram account, and advocating for health policy to support underserved patient communities.
