Fleur van Dijk combines patient care and research in her profession as consultant clinical geneticist. She studies clinical and genetic aspects of hereditary connective tissue disorders, and is for example also active in the field of osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). In 2016 she started as clinical lead of the national diagnostic Ehlers-Danlos service in Northwick Park Hospital, London which is a tertiary service aimed at diagnosing monogenic types of EDS.
