If my brother hadn’t died that day, I would probably be dead too

When 46-year-old Gary Lockwood died on July 3 last year, his sister Dawn Walker went straight to her GP to find out if she had the same deadly condition that killed her brother.

Here, Dawn tells us why she believes if Gary had not died, she might not still be here herself.

Dawn Walker, from Branston, suspected something was not right around seven years ago when she was constantly feeling tired and worn out.

Dawn was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome hypermobile type – a genetic condition that affects the joints.
