Professor Ingrid WINSHIP MBChB, MD (Human Genetics), FRACP, FACD, FAICD.

Professor Ingrid Winship is the Executive Director of Research for Melbourne Health and the Chair of Adult Clinical Genetics at The University of Melbourne. She has 30 years’ experience in Clinical Genetics. Her work includes gene discovery and clinical research, service development and translational research, developing new models of genetic services especially for adult patients with inherited predisposition to cancer. She is a member of the Australian Health Ethics Committee, and served for 6 years until its completion on the NHMRC Human Genetic Advisory Committee. She serves on the Board of Global Variome.

She is dual qualified as a clinical geneticist and dermatologist.
