It’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

The Ehlers-Danlos Society is delighted to now have AccessiBe’s accessWidget on our website.

AccessiBe aims to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. Users of our website can now utilize the accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs, for example:

  • Screen-reader optimization
  • Keyboard navigation optimization
  • Epilepsy Safe Profile
  • Vision Impaired Profile
  • Cognitive Disability Profile
  • ADHD Friendly Profile
  • Blind Users Profile
  • Assistive technology and browser compatibility
  • Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments such as font and color adjustments, stopping animations, and muting audio

On our website you’ll see the blue person icon to make personalized adjustments as you use the website.
