Eight year-old Shayden Parkinson’s wish came true on Jan. 3 when he and his family got to fly to Green Bay, Wisconsin, and watch a Packers football game. Local grantors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Eileen Peterson and Louise Moser, worked with the Green Bay Packers organization to grant Shayden’s wish.
Shayden was born with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type 6, which affects the connective tissues in the body and causes skin to be easily bruised and torn, and joints and muscles to be loose. Because of this Shayden cannot play football himself, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying the game. Shayden has been a Packer’s fan from the beginning and says he loves football because “it’s awesome!” And he likes “to watch the games with his dad.”
