Rachel Friedman is a practicing gynecologist at Concorde Medical Group in New York City and is associated with NYU Langone Medical Center. She received her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Brown University/Women & Infants Hospital in 2005. She is also a proud wife and mother of two daughters, ages 9 and 3.
After the birth of her first child nearly a decade ago, she developed pain that severely limited her life. She was subsequently diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome approximately 7 years after the onset of her symptoms and subsequent trials of numerous treatments.
She is currently dedicated to the gynecologic care of women in all stages of life. She has found far too many patients in her practice who have suffered pain and disability due to unrecognized symptoms of HSD/EDS, in particular gynecologic manifestations. Rachel devotes herself to providing compassionate care and to expanding the network of providers who can lead patients toward a diagnosis and treatment options. She wishes to give back to the EDS community that helped her finally identify a diagnosis to unify her years of symptoms.
