September is International Pain Month

This month is International Pain Awareness Month, raising public awareness around pain, which affects individuals with the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD), options for pain management for those struggling, and how health professionals can help.

This year’s theme focuses on the vital importance of an individualized, multidisciplinary, and multimodal approach to pain care.

Throughout September we will be sharing community stories, video resources on pain management, and updates from EDS ECHO on how we are educating on pain causes and management through our social media and CONNECT newsletter.

If you are struggling with pain and need support, reach out by telephone or email to our dedicated helpline team who can provide information and resources.

Virtual Support Groups

Let’s Chat

Would you like to speak to others living with EDS and HSD but can’t get to any support group meetings, events, or conferences?

Our weekly, monthly, and quarterly virtual support groups for people from all over the world are a chance to come and share your story and chat with others for support.
