This zebra’s name is Baya. She is passionate, strong and confident and and does amazing things.
She is a swimmer, although you can imagine with hypermobile EDS the worry is there that something will happen. While she is super flexible, acid reflux is her huge hurdle. She has struggled since she was born with reflux. She takes meds daily and always before practice or swim meets.
She works hard on her form; she can move past normal rotation with her shoulders so we need to prevent injury. EDS has not stopped her from pursuing her dream to swim competitively. She recently swam a 500 freestyle where she earned her swim clubs 8 and under record. She is #zebrastrong!
