How my gaming career helps me to raise awareness for EDS

My name is Lane Cooper. On October 23, 2016, I was stacking firewood with my uncle, when I went home I started urinating blood. I went to the ER and was diagnosed with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), which started my medical decline.

A few months later I started having a lot of pain walking when my knee would push itself way back. After going between my primary care doctor, bone doctors, physical therapy, then finally a rheumatologist who thought I might have EDS, I was diagnosed. Since then it has been my identity. I can’t walk, I can’t lift heavy things, I can’t do hardly anything.

Now I am a low-rated YouTuber and streamer called DisabledGooru. I recently became a Humble Bundle partner and I have selected The Ehlers-Danlos Society as my charity of choice.
