Svetlana Blitshteyn

Svetlana Blitshteyn, MD is the Director and Founder of Dysautonomia Clinic, where she provides consultations for patients with autonomic disorders, as well as patients with hypermobility spectrum disorders. She is the Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Blitshteyn completed her neurology training at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Autonomic Society. She serves on the Medical Advisory Board for Dysautonomia International, Dysautonomia Information Network and Standing Up to POTS. Dr. Blitshteyn has served as the Principle Investigator on a number of important research studies concerning POTS and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and as a Clinical Lead for the Autonomic Section Writing Group for the Multi-Disciplinary PASC/Long Covid Collaborative. She co-authored a popular patient handbook called “POTS – Together We Stand; Riding the Waves of Dysautonomia” and has been the recipient of Dysautonomia International 2022 Physician of the Year Award, Patient’s Choice Award 2019 from Dysautonomia Support Network and others.
