What is EDS and HSD Awareness Month?
Every May, people all over the world show their support for people who have a type of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) or hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD). Our shared mission is important throughout the year, but May is a time we all come together, celebrate our vibrant global community, share experiences, and highlight what is needed to progress change!
How can I get involved?
Wherever you are in the world, join us to raise awareness! There are many ways you can help to highlight EDS and HSD; from requesting a building to be lit up or requesting a proclamation, sharing brochures or hosting an awareness event, taking part in the Walk & Roll Challenge, fundraising, sharing on social media or changing your profile picture. There is something for everyone!
Requests to light up a building and requests for proclamations often need to be done in advance of May – be sure to make your requests as soon as you can! Learn more below about how you can get involved.
Raise over $60 during May and receive our Limited Edition (and exclusive to fundraisers!) 2023 May Awareness embroidered t-shirt!
