Marino Physiotherapy is a private, one-on-one physical therapy practice in Knoxville, Tennessee, specializing in complex musculoskeletal and multi-system conditions. We work with adolescents and adults with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, hypermobility spectrum disorders, joint instability, recurring injuries, chronic pain, and related concerns such as fatigue, headaches, dizziness, POTS, and dysautonomia.

Our clinicians understand that hypermobility can affect much more than flexibility. Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation of the whole person, including joint stability, movement patterns, strength, posture, balance, nervous-system regulation, activity tolerance, and the factors contributing to each patient’s symptoms.

Each patient receives an individualized plan designed to improve stability, confidence, function, and participation in daily life. Treatment may include progressive strengthening, proprioceptive and balance training, movement retraining, symptom-management strategies, education, and guidance for safely returning to school, work, exercise, sports, and meaningful activities.

We frequently work with patients who have struggled to find answers or whose symptoms have not improved with standard treatment approaches. Our goal is to help patients better understand their bodies, develop practical tools for managing symptoms, and build sustainable function without pushing through unnecessary pain or repeatedly triggering setbacks.
