About these Clinics/Practices

I specialize in helping patients with their initial evaluation/diagnosis of EDS as well as other hypermobility spectrum conditions by interview and physical exam; further testing such as genetic testing is completed only if warranted on a case by case basis. As a rheumatology PA, my main clinical focus is  helping to guide management of musculoskeletal symptoms through medical treatment and expert physiotherapy referrals. I am happy to help patients in their journey of managing their condition with the eventual goal of transitioning their care back to their primary care provider.

IMPORTANT OFFICE POLICIES/NOTES:

1. Patients must reside in the state of Michigan – sorry but I cannot see/treat patients out of state or country due to medical/legal/license requirement reasons
2. You must have a PCP; it is also prefered that you have a good working relationship with your PCP
3. I primarily aide in management of musculoskeletal symptoms. I am happy to discuss and consider initial management strategies for other aspects of hypermobility spectrum symptoms (POTS, gastric dysmotility, fatigue, histaminergic) however it is generally preferred to see other specialist of these domains especially if symptomatically severe.
4. While not required, it is prefered that most patients should have the following blood tests ordered/completed by PCP within 3-6 months of their initial visit if possible: complete blood count, liver function, kidney function, electrolyte panel, thyroid stimulating hormone,  iron panel including the test called ferritin, and urine pregnancy test (if of childbearing capability).
5. If you have had any hypermobility specific testing like genetic testing in the past, please bring a physical copy or be able to share results via Invitae (or other company) portal
