About these Clinics/Practices
Benefact Occupational Therapy is an Australian practice led by lived-experience Occupational Therapist, Isabella Favotto-Ji, with a particular interest in Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, hypermobility spectrum disorders and the complex, often invisible impact these conditions can have on everyday life.
We understand that EDS and hypermobility-related conditions can affect much more than joints. Our work considers pain, fatigue, dysautonomia, sensory differences, executive functioning, mobility, self-care, home tasks, work, study and community participation. Support is practical, collaborative, neuroaffirming and trauma-informed, with a focus on helping each person better understand their needs, reduce barriers and find sustainable ways to participate in the activities that matter to them.
Services include functional capacity assessment, pacing and energy management, daily living strategies, assistive technology, environmental modifications, NDIS assessment and reporting, and support to coordinate recommendations with the person’s broader healthcare team.
Benefact provides telehealth services Australia-wide, with limited face-to-face services available in Sydney.
