About these Clinics/Practices
I am an Exercise Physiologist who completed a Bachelor of Applied Science Human Movement and Graduate Diploma of Exercise Rehabilitation in Ballarat, class 2005.
I live with CFS, IST, POTS, hEDS, MCAS and chronic pain. I grew up in sub-elite sport of Swimming and Netball but played everything I could. I experienced multiple injuries, surgeries and ill health. In 2007, I became unwell with Idiopathic Pericarditis at 24yo, which started the cascade of symptoms and conditions presenting. I was dismissed, gaslighted and told I was just experiencing stress and anxiety. Prescribed antidepressants and sent to see a Psychologist. I had many horrible years ahead however I was able to adapt my personal experience, the evolving evidence and clinical EP knowledge to help more people with these conditions.
My primary focus with patients is education. Knowledge is power and understanding your condition/s is the first step in being able to manage, implement tools and strategies to identify and manage triggers and setbacks and make gradual steps towards movement and exercise. I work primarily via telehealth, however also have face to face appointments available at a clinic in Melbourne.
I founded Dizzy hEDS & Co. (Co. = Comorbidities) in 2022 after not being able to be given the balance with my own health and the needs of a special needs child plus as a single Mum, who follows in my genetic footsteps. Now I get to focus on my passions in Ehlers Danlos Syndromes (EDS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) and the comorbidities of autonomic dysregulation syndromes, dysautonomia, POTS/OI/OH/IST, Pain, ME/CFS, MCAS and also Long COVID.
I also run a private Facebook Group for people wanting to start a family, support for pregnancy, labour and post-partum care living with these conditions, inspired by my own journey. I presented at the 2022 Arizona EDS Conference on ‘Pregnancy and post-partum care’ and again in 2023 for the Dublin Conference on ‘Finding comfort in school and the workplace with EDS & HSD’ and in 2025 welcomed the amazing EDS Society team to Brisbane and presented on each day of the 3 day conference.
I take a holistic, patient centered approach as well as being trauma informed and inclusive to those with neurodivergence and LGBTQIA2S+
I am passionate about supporting families to support their child, friend or loved one through all stages of managing these conditions. Along with being an advocate for you in the workplace and education settings, and accessing the required support to allow my patients to gradually return to work, start work, start study, modify education or WHATEVER it may be, to slowly work towards goals whilst managing their many health issues.
