Tickets and Registration

  • What will happen if the event is canceled or postponed?

    If the event is canceled, you will be offered a full refund or a credit to use towards a future Ehlers-Danlos Society event. If the event is postponed, we will email you to inform you of the new dates and offer you an automatic transfer of your registration to the new dates, or a full refund.

  • Can I register more than one person in the same transaction?

    Yes, you can add as many attendees as you like to your cart, and then check out with one payment.

  • What types of payment do you accept?

    Payment can be made by credit or debit card, or through Paypal. We do not accept checks or cash. The only way to purchase a ticket is through our event webpage.

  • How will I get my tickets if I buy them online?

    Your tickets will be sent electronically to you by email. We do not send paper tickets by post. If you cannot find your ticket, please email [email protected] and we will look up your reservation and resend you your ticket/s.

  • I haven’t received a confirmation email. How can I check if my registration was successful?

    If your registration was successful, you will receive a confirmation email within a few minutes. Please check your spam folder and add [email protected] to your safe senders list. If you have not received a confirmation or cannot find your confirmation, please email [email protected] so that we can resend it to you.

  • If I book a virtual ticket, but decide that I want to switch to an in-person ticket, is that possible?

    You may switch your ticket from virtual to in-person at any time before June 22, 2026.

    For assistance, please email [email protected]. We will process a refund for your virtual ticket, and share instructions to purchase your in-person ticket.

General and Logistics 

  • How will I join the event virtually?

    You’ll receive a Zoom meeting link via email approximately 1 week before the event. Simply click the link to join at the scheduled time. No special software is needed beyond Zoom (free version is fine).

  • I haven’t received my Zoom link — what should I do?

    Check your spam/junk folder first and check your Ehlers-Danlos Society Website account for the ‘How to Access the Event’ resource, which will include the Zoom link and instructions to join. If you still can’t find it, please contact us at [email protected] with your name and registration details.

  • Do I need a Zoom account to attend?

    No, a Zoom account is not required. You can join directly from the link.

  • Can I join from my phone or tablet?

    Yes! You can join using:

    • The Zoom mobile app (iOS/Android)
    • A mobile browser
    • For best results, we suggest using a laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection
  • When should I join the event?

    We will allow registrants to join the virtual Zoom meeting 15 minutes before the first session starts.

  • Will I be on camera or microphone?

    As this is a Zoom webinar, as opposed to a Zoom meeting, attendees do not need to have their camera on and will not be able to see themselves or the other attendees. You will only be able to see and hear the presenters and their presentations.

  • Can I ask questions during the event?

    You can submit your questions for the Q&A sessions via Slido, a QR code and link will be shown during the conference to allow you access at any time. We, unfortunately, cannot respond to raised hands during this event due to the large number of attendees.

  • Do I need to attend every session?

    No, attendees may use their access link to come and go as they please.

  • Will this event be translated?

    Live audio and written translation of this event will be available in over 60 languages via our translation platform Wordly. You will receive more information on accessing Wordly, and how to watch in your chosen language via email.

  • Is this being recorded and if so when can I watch the recordings back?

    We are recording all content from this event which will take up to six weeks to become available. Registrants will have lifetime access to this content.

  • I am not very tech-savvy. Will there be online help if I run into issues during the event with the Whova app?

    Don’t worry if you’re not very tech-savvy. Our staff members will be waiting on our Whova app in the “Ask Organizers Anything” channel, you can direct any questions or technical issues to them at any time. Alternatively, you can email [email protected] for assistance during the event.

  • What should I do if I’m having technical issues?

    Try the following:

    • Refresh your Zoom session or rejoin the meeting.
    • Check your internet connection.
    • Make sure you’ve downloaded the latest version of Zoom.
    • If problems persist, contact [email protected].
  • Can I share the Zoom link with others?

    No. Zoom links are limited to registered users. Sharing may cause access issues or violate event terms.

  • Who can I contact for support before or during the event?

    Email us at [email protected] or use our live help chat during the event (if available).
