Professor Jane Simmonds SFHEA, MCSP, MAPCP, MMACP

Professor Jane Simmonds is a physiotherapist with more than 30 years of clinical experience working with people with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and hypermobility spectrum disorders. She is very committed to helping to improve the lives of people living with EDS through fostering and supporting teams of clinicians, researcher and educators. Originally from Perth Western Australia, Jane now lives and works in London where she combines an academic career at University College London with clinical work at the Hypermobility Unit where she leads the physiotherapy provision and specialises in working with children and families. Jane is a member of the EDS Society Medical and Scientific Board and is a medical advisor to Ehlers Danlos Support UK, the Hypermobility Syndromes Association (HMSA) and PoTS UK. Moreover she is Chair of the EDS Society’s Allied Health Professionals international consortium working group. Jane has authored more than 100 publications on EDS and hypermobility related topics and leads national and international EDS and hypermobility CPD training events for health and exercise professionals.
