Nicole Kendel
Nicole E. Kendel, MD, MSc received her doctor of medicine and master of medical science degrees from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Kendel completed her pediatric residency and pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She received the Lisa Gunyula Award of Excellence in Pediatric Residency in 2019 and the Fellow Outstanding Research Award in 2022. She joined Akron Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist in 2022.
Dr. Kendel is board certified in general pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Kendel is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, American Society of Hematology, Children’s Oncology Group and the Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders. Special interests include bleeding disorders in women, thrombotic disorders and vascular anomalies.
