Pauline Slater (APAM, CNE)

Pauline Slater is the Principal Physiotherapist and founder of Hypermobility Health Connect which is acknowledged as an EDS and Hypermobility CORE Network of Excellence. She is dedicated to transforming care for people with Generalised Hypermobility, HSD, hEDS, EDS, and related conditions by addressing gaps in awareness, diagnosis, and treatment. Pauline is also the founder of BendyBodies Hypermobility Physiotherapy, where she works nationally and internationally with children and adults living with Hypermobility, EDS, POTS, and learning challenges, drawing on both her professional expertise and personal experience of these invisible illnesses.

As a physiotherapist with over 30 years’ experience, Pauline has focused her work, specialising in hypermobility, chronic pain, dysautonomia and EDS-related conditions, through undertaking several EDS- ECHO courses, and the courses and attending and presenting at several Symposia and Conferences. She co-founded the Hypermobility Health Professionals Network (Australia) and holds a Master’s in Education. Through EDS-ECHO, the Australian Physiotherapy Association, HPAU, and other forums, she provides training and advocates for those with Hypermobility, EDS, and POTS across Australia.

Pauline is undertaking a Masters of Clinical Sciences/PhD at the University of Adelaide, researching the topic titled: “Characterising the diagnostic journey and impact of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder (HSD) on patients in Australia.”

Having been an attendee at several EDS ECHO programs, Pauline is now a facilitator on the EDS ECHO AHP Australia program.
