Ward Fitzgerald is Chief Executive Officer and Senior Managing Principal of Exeter Property Group, an international real estate private equity fund investment group and real estate development and operating company with offices in 22 locations in the US, Europe, and Mexico. During his leadership of the firm, founded in 2006, the organization has raised over a dozen investment vehicles totaling over $6 billion in equity capital representing pension, sovereign wealth, endowment, insurance, and foundation partners in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia, and has consummated over 500 real estate transactions in the warehouse/logistics and office sectors totaling in excess of $12 billion. Prior to Exeter, Mr. Fitzgerald worked as part of the senior management team at Liberty Property Trust, a $7 billion publicly traded office and industrial REIT, which he helped take public in 1994. In addition to his business endeavors, Mr. Fitzgerald has served as Board Member of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart, Design and Development Committee Notre Dame Academy in Villanova, Real Estate Board for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Board of Trustees for LaSalle College High School and currently sits on the Business Advisory Council at the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife Kathy are members of The Papal Foundation and he served the Holy Father as a Vice-Chair for the World Meeting of Families held in Philadelphia in 2015, for which he and his wife were named Dame and Knight Grand Cross in the Order of Saint Gregory the Great. They also serve the community through philanthropy focused on medical research having funded research grants for the EDS Society, Dysautonomia Society, Jefferson Hospital Philadelphia, University of Oklahoma, Vanderbilt University, University of Texas, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza Rotonda Italy.
